Forskning som utförts av den amerikanske förändrings- och ledarskapsgurun John Kotter har visat att stora förändringsinsatser tyvärr inte alltid har det önskade resultatet. Han konstaterade att det vara bara 30% sannolikhet att organisationsförändringen lyckas. Det är därför som organisationer genomför förändringar utan framgång och misslyckas med att uppnå det avsedda resultatet.
John Kotter introducerade ”Kotters 8 Step Change Model” för att förbättra en organisations förmåga att förändras och öka chanserna till framgång. Genom att följa dessa steg kan organisationer undvika misslyckande och bli skickliga på att genomföra förändringar. Som ett resultat behöver organisationer inte längre anpassa förändringarna och de kommer att öka sina chanser att lyckas.
